About

Hello!  I’m Natalie and I’m here to help you find foods that are fun and nourishing for your next great adventure.

My biggest passions are running, eating, growing food, and all things mountain (skiing, climbing, hiking, running, paddling, you name it).

I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition at Cornell University in 2009.  I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition from the New York Chiropractic College, which I received in 2015.  In those middle years I spent time working with The Nutrition Source – Harvard’s online resource for human nutrition news – and later with Washington State University Extension teaching nutrition in K-5 schools around King County.

Currently I teach nutrition and cooking classes at the college level, and work with people to train smarter, feel better, and live more fully through better nutrition.

I believe that good food should be simple and accessible.  Unfortunately, I don’t often find that either are true.  Through this site I will do my best to share what resources I have found to help make both of those as true as possible.  Real food does take time, but with a few tips on planning and preparing, I will show you how you can save time and eat healthy without breaking the bank!

With all of that, I am, from time to time, a competitive trail runner.  Much of what I post will be about food as it relates to running and training.  But don’t let that scare you!  Athletes and non-athletes alike need food – healthy food – all the same.

Come check out our latest ideas for how you can have your cake and eat it too!
